Ivanna Quiceno

BIO

Ivanna Quiceno is the sixteen year old singer/songwriter who bridges the gap between mainstream American music and Spanish music. Often compared vocally to Adele, this bilingual teenage musician is making waves in pop music with her unique stylings of salsa rhythms paired with Pop/R&B vocals.

Growing up in Chula Vista, one of California's most southern cities, Ivanna was immersed in the Latin-American culture. When most kids in her community who had ambitions of working in music were drifting towards hip-hop or Mariachi, Ivanna found her love of music by listening to her father sing. Her father, former Columbian music artist, Ivan Quiceno, introduced his daughter to the rhythm, beats, and soul that makes Latin music unique. Ivanna also found her voice in studying the music of Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, and Adele.

In 2012 Ivanna decided to audition for a role in a television musical pilot, "Second Star Studio," and was introduced to the show's creators, Richard Allen and Taran Gray, and her impression on them stuck. A year later, Ivanna got a call from Richard and Taran asking her to join their record label, Crissy Field Records.                   Ivanna is currently working with producer Taran Gray on her debut album. "Ivanna Quiceno is a huge missing link in this industry," says Gray of Ivanna. "She's Latin, but she's not influenced or defined by the urban Latin music that is today's mainstream connection between the two worlds. I believe Ivanna is the first artist since Selena that could potentially bring America to a new appreciation of its Spanish heritage."

The highly anticipated album, which is being released later this year, will be an album that musically features Ivanna's voice and her Latin rhythm influences. The album will tell the story of a young Latin-American girl from Chula Vista who dreams of bringing her music to the world.
