Flint

"Lipstick Red"

BIO

Flint is the San Diego based rock band that has paved way for a new generation of arena-rock musicians. Hearkening back to the stylings and patterns of such bands as Pat Benetar, Fleetwood Mac, and Bon Jovi, Flint offers a new aesthetic in rock music that makes them stand out from the crowded rock scene.

Flint is aptly named after the last name of its power-house vocalist, Meagan Flint, who headlines the act. Meagan grew up with a strong background in musical theater. Her on-stage experience played a big part in the performance and sound of what she grew to admire and sought after in the rock music scene. She has been well received at many venues including the House of Blues, San Diego County Fair, and the Riviera Dinner Club.

A band filled with musical influences from jazz to metal, Flint was brought together by music producer Taran Gray and is signed to Crissy Field Records. “I grew up loving the huge arena-rock sound, groups like Heart and Queen,” Taran says while talking about how the band was established. “I was dying to bring that music back. Meagan Flint was hanging around the studio working on pop music. Her voice is strong like that of Whitney Houston and Celine Dion. One day she told me that her all time favorite music was Bon Jovi. Boom! It all made sense. I had one of the worlds greatest power vocalists and we were composing in the wrong genre! Needless to say, we had to get her a rock band.”

With their motto borrowed from Christian Dior, “Uniformity is the mother of boredom,” Flint, through it's anthemic rock sound and theatrical performance, is sure to spark nothing but excitement and drive.
